L’Regional health agency (ARS) took the initiative of launching an audit in six emergency services in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, including that of Carpentras and that of Pertuis, two establishments located in the Vaucluse department.

Through this approach, the ARS aims to identify and understand the difficulties faced by these services, with a view to “resolving the persistent operational and staffing problems encountered by these establishments.

According to the media France Bleu, the mission, entrusted to a consulting firm, began in April and the results are expected before summera particularly critical period for emergency services in Vaucluse.

A lack of medical staff

According to Loïc Souriaudirector of the ARS in Vaucluse, “these problems affect the population who sometimes struggle to know whether emergency services are operational or not. »

Unfortunately, it is the lack of medical staff who is identified as one of the main causes. “An objective external analysis remains necessary to identify other potential problems and, ideally, enable an effective restructuring of the service.”
