The young Spanish brand Newcop, specializing in the sale of limited edition sneakers, is taking its first steps abroad. The start of its international expansion is taking place in France, in the Marais district of Paris, where it opened a point of sale at the end of April.

Located at number 19 rue du Temple, the boutique occupies a 130 square meter sales space in which the company markets the offering of different brands, including Yuxus and Avnier, a first for Newcop.

The very industrial atmosphere highlights steel and black tones, with a wall of shoes and a central totem presenting pairs in luminous cells. Some streetwear clothing (from the labels Stussy, Travis Scott, Supreme, etc.) complete the assortment.

This store is located in an area which has seen the rise of basketball and sportswear players in recent years, notably with Footpatrol, Meet Up and Veja, and more recently Naked Copenhagen in early 2024.

“We chose Paris because of its strong sneaker culture. There is a lot of passion for limited edition sneakers and we also want to take advantage of the proximity to the Olympic Games to boost this address, which we hope will represent the largest turnover of the company”, explains David Camprubí, CEO and founder of the company in 2022.

Founded two years ago, Newcop has three other points of sale, located in Spain in Barcelona (two units) and Madrid. It distributes major brands such as Air Jordan, Nike, Adidas and New Balance and also relies on a merchant site.

On the economic front, Newcop closed its 2023 financial year with a turnover of 5.8 million euros (a quarter of which was generated on the web), an overall jump of 43% compared to the previous year. Focused on its development, the brand hopes to achieve 9 million euros in sales by the end of 2024, and is seeking to inaugurate two other export stores this year.
