Alsatian folklore will be highlighted once again on October 5. For the second edition of Colmar Fast, organized by the city and the association of fruit market squaremany activities are planned to pay tribute to this beautiful region.
But, unlike last year, another place in the world will be highlighted this Saturday: Italy!
The city of Lucca will be welcomed
This year, the municipality of Lucca, twinned with Colmar, will be present for an intense cultural exchange.
“Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique cultural exchange, with the presence of musicians traditional Italian and folk dancers Alsatians,” specifies the organizers.
Here is the program:
- 11:30 a.m.: official inauguration with elected officials from the City of Colmar and Lucca, traditional musical entertainment offered by Lucca musicians,
- at 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Entertainment with the folkloric group Holatrio
- 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.: concert with the Italian group D’errico who will offer you the greatest Italian hits
- 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: concert with the Alsatian rock group “Les bredelers”. Their originality is a clever mix of Alsatian folk standards revisited with a punk-rock twist.
- 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: show with “Les improvisateurs”. Each show is unique, an adventure where everything becomes possible
Local gastronomy will also be highlighted such as Koïfhus sausage. But you can find some Italian dishes!
