A 13-year-old minor of French nationality was indicted and placed under judicial supervision for advocating terrorism.

Several documents linked to radical Islamism were found in his electronic devices.

The teenager was already known to the police and intelligence services.

A 13-year-old boy was indicted on Wednesday and placed under judicial supervision for advocating terrorism. This minor had been arrested a few days earlier in Mont-Saint-Martin (Meurthe-et-) before being placed in police custody, the LCI-TF1 editorial team learned from a police source.

Videos and documents related to radical Islamism

The investigation began several months ago, when several videos, documents and other files linked to radical Islamism and terrorism were found on the phone of this teenager of French nationality.

Since May 30, 2024, investigators from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS) of Meurthe-et-Moselle have been seized of the case. They arrested him on Wednesday October 2.
