MONTRÉAL, the 4 oct. 2024 /CNW/ – The Foundation of the Federation of Specialist Physicians of Quebec (FMSQ) announces that the 3e edition of its annual President’s Cocktail, held last evening, raised $172,570 in support of caregivers. This sum will be invested in supporting innovative projects that meet the fundamental needs of these dedicated people across Quebec.
“Caregivers play a vital role in our health network. These are the pillars of home support and long-term care. It is imperative to support them and recognize their exceptional contribution,” says Dr. Vincent OlivaPresident of the FMSQ and the Foundation. “For more than 10 years, Quebec medical specialists have been mobilizing for this cause, and we are happy to continue our commitment year after year. »
The amount raised will be used to support various organizations across Quebec, which offer information services, training and psychological support to caregivers, thus lightening their burden and allowing them to continue their mission with their loved ones. In 2024, the FMSQ Foundation has already supported 46 projects helping caregivers in 11 regions of Quebec, investing nearly a million dollars in the community.

A 3e unifying edition
The 3rd edition of the President’s Cocktail brought together more than 170 medical specialists and partners, all committed to improving the health and well-being of caregivers. Thanks to their generosity, the FMSQ Foundation will continue to develop innovative initiatives to improve the quality of life of caregivers across Quebec.
