Charismatic figure of the left of Douarnenez (Finistère) and elected opposition member of the municipal council, Yolande Bouin died on April 30, 2024, at the age of 63. In a press release, the Finistère activists of La France insoumise (LFI), a movement for which Yolande Bouin was committed in the regional elections in 2021, then in the legislative elections in 2022, pay tribute to her.

“Yolande dedicated her life to what seemed essential to her: solidarity, welcome, justice, sharing, living together, write the Insoumis. Yolande represents almost half a century of activist commitments, for human rights, feminism, for the living, to preserve our social achievements. […] We found in her, rebellious before her time, an obvious traveling companion. Through her certainty of the struggles to be waged, both for refugees, for ecology and workers’ rights, she was one of those who marked and forged the movement and the Bretagne Insoumise list which she joined with determination. . »
