“Important to defend freedom of expression”

Thomas Cabioch came from Montsûrs. “It’s important to defend freedom of expression”he assures. “Political humor has been around for centuries. If we start to ban jokes on certain current issues, it is an attack on a fundamental freedom, the door opens to other dangers for our democracy. »

Stéphane Poupin and Cécile Le Coq are participating as a family, with their 10-year-old son. They share their ” anger “ and their ” worry “in the actual context. “We feel the complexity of the debates, it’s going too fast, too far, it’s serious”testifies Cécile. “We are going towards the extremes”notes Évelyne Le Fellic. “It’s as if there was no longer any possibility of dialogue. Right away, we are going to confrontation on all subjects,” regrets the Laval resident.

The demonstrators present express their incomprehension regarding Radio France’s decision, “while justice considered that Guillaume Meurice had the right to say what he said”adds Évelyne. “It’s important that he can say what he wants. »
