Artists from two dream cities, New York and Paris, come together to take you to the Orient through dance.
With the ballet The White Haired Girl and her original ballet Peaceful Warrior, Analia Farfan brings China’s most famous legends to the stage by mixing classical dance with martial arts. Analia is accompanied by her partner Serge Mouawad, international dancer and choreographer, and Alwena Bréhin, an elegant and strong wushu (kung-fu) artist.
Brigid Le Minez reveals the stylized movements of character dance and Miki Imai offers you a choreographic creation ‘The old wise man and the cherry tree’ by Nadejda L. Loujine which is inspired by Japan. Shimehiro Nishikawa presents art from the Edo period with the metamorphosis piece “Ohara-me (log peddler in Ohara, 1810)”, a masterpiece of nihon-buyô (kabuki dance).
