The information did not make much noise when the Vaud Chancellery announced, at the beginning of July, that it wanted to put an end to the paper version of the Official notice sheet. By wanting to turn to the digital platform of the State Secretariat for the Economy (Seco) by the first half of 2025, the Council of State probably did not realize that it had made an unpopular decision to say the least.

Outraged by this announcement, Presses Centrales Lausanne (PCL), current concessionaire of the FAO, denounced last July an “incomparable” offer based “on false financial information”. Two months later, the media company is not giving up and its commercial director, Steve Burnier, is convinced of being able to reverse the trend. “We fight every day to maintain the paper version,” he says. We met with many political groups present at the Grand Council to make them aware that there was a desire to dismantle a product that people appreciate and which even brings in a little money for the canton. Christelle Luisier is right to say that this product has a gross cost of 1.9 million francs. On the other hand, it fails to specify that the majority of these costs are re-invoiced and that we even generate a profit of around 60,000 francs for the State.
