Do you sometimes have the feeling that various social actors are trying to insidiously convince you of the veracity of information, to embrace certain ideas about health, the environment or politics, or simply to adopt certain behaviors? Know that it is much more than a vague impression. This is reality. And the federal government has confirmed it!
In a report made public in August (which you can consult here) and which has made few waves so far, the Office of Behavioral Sciences of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PSC) explains, in full, how it uses cognitive science to design public policies and shape the behaviors of Canadians.
This may seem harmless, but it is quite the opposite.
Control
Behavioral sciences use psychology, economics, sociology and neuroscience to understand human behavior.
But once this knowledge is mastered, it can become a weapon of massive control. Behavioral sciences is the art of tinkering with the thoughts and emotions of individuals to subtly guide their behavior without their knowledge. It is the instrumentalization of the unconscious and emotional part of the human mind to control the decisions of others. It is quite simply the art of manipulation taken to an almost surgical level of expertise.
However, it is precisely this art that Ottawa uses. And even if other governments do not admit it, we can doubt that they have resisted the temptation to use these psychological feints to obtain our docility.
So it’s official, Ottawa is taking advantage of our cognitive flaws to manipulate us. He did this during the pandemic, in particular to promote vaccination. And now he’s using the same methods on climate change and childhood immunizations. He even uses it to increase public confidence in the state.
Domestication
Our politicians are no longer leaders, but manipulators. They no longer govern, they practice human domestication. And to make matters worse, they use our tax money to pull our strings. Suddenly, I lost all desire to listen to the official rhetoric. And you?
