Obstacles to watch out for in the coming days

Several projects will require the installation of road barriers in the region over the coming days.

First, the repair of a bridge in the “spaghetti” at the head of the bridges will result in the installation of several obstacles. On Sunday, Highway 73 North, at Highway 20, as well as access to Highway 20 West from Highway 73 North will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day. Also on Sunday, access to Highway 20 West from Highway 73 South will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.

Also, one lane out of two will be closed in the service road of Highway 20 as well as access to Highway 20 West on Monday, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day.

Access to Highway 20 West, from rue de la Concorde in Saint-Romuald, will therefore be blocked on Monday, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day. For these two obstacles, motorists will then have to take a detour on Highway 73 South and the Rue Beaulieu interchange to access Highway 20 West.

Then, one lane in two will be closed on Highway 20 East, near Highway 73, Tuesday and Wednesday, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day. Access to Highway 73 North will be impossible from Highway 20 East on Thursday, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day.

Inspections

Due to the inspection of the viaduct allowing Chemin des Îles to span Highway 20, one lane out of two will be closed on Highway 20 East on Monday, between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. the next day. An identical obstacle will be in effect on Tuesday, between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., this time on Highway 20 West.

Also to allow an inspection of the structure of the Pierre-Laporte bridge to take place, one or two lanes out of three on Highway 73, between Champlain Boulevard and the Chaudière River, will be closed on Tuesday, between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day, in both directions.

Obstacles between Breakeyville and Saint-Lambert

Finally, during the repair work on the viaduct allowing Chemin Beauséjour to span Highway 73 in Saint-Jean-Chrysostome, one lane out of two will be closed on Highway 73 South on Sunday, between 6 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day. .

From Monday to Thursday, between 6 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day, one lane in two will then be closed in the north direction of the artery.

Finally, note that for all these obstacles, the Ministry of Transport of Quebec can modify or cancel them if it faces operational constraints or if it faces bad weather conditions. If these scenarios arise, updates will be published on the Québec 511 platform.
