(Calgary) Hockey Canada has announced that it will hold the Beyond the Bands Summit on November 14 and 15 in Ottawa, Ontario, to analyze gender-based violence, homophobia, sexism and transphobia.

This will be Hockey Canada’s second summit after last year’s summit in Calgary, where toxic masculinity was addressed.
A call for cultural change in the world of hockey has been launched following allegations of sexual assault against five members of Team Canada Junior following the 2018 World Cup. These allegations have still not been proven before the courts.
