Regular users of the metro line 6 will have to change their minds. Since midday on Sunday, May 5, 2024, several stations in the center of Paris have been completely closed, RATP has just indicated on X.

Alternative routes

The stations concerned are Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile, Kléber and Boissière. And it will not be possible to access it before Tuesday 7, at noon. This total interruption of traffic comes as the Chinese head of state, Xi Jinping, is expected in France today for a two-day visit as part of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Other security measures have also been taken by prefectural decree.

To get around the difficulties, RATP advises travelers to take alternative routes between Trocadéro and Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile, which can be found on its website and social networks.
