Loire-Atlantique: the rejected companion must say goodbye to his 17 rifles and his hunting license

Single, the defendant, now aged 52, was happy to meet a partner around ten years ago. They lived together for nine years and separated in March 2022.

If he was at the bar of the criminal court of Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) on Tuesday April 30, 2024, it is because since then, he has been prosecuted for harassment and for death threats against his ex but also damage to property in Malville and possession of weapons without declaration.

“She wants and she doesn’t want”

During the hearing, the imposing fifty-year-old admitted that he did not accept the separation, but he specified that his ex-partner systematically returned.

“On September 4, 2022, she wanted to resume living together, a month later, she left again, she wants and she doesn’t want… We got back together three times, but I don’t want it anymore, it’s over. »

However, he admits to having insulted her with a hidden number, to having sent her numerous resentful emails, to having passed in front of her house honking…

“To tell him what? », asks the president. “ Nothing very clever », replies the defendant who admits to being “hot with alcohol”.

He was also suspected of damaging the rearview mirror of a long-time friend of his ex-partner, of whom he was apparently jealous.

“Mad love”

The latest facts date from November 5, 2023. The defendant was placed under judicial supervision three days later.

However, he will say:

“I was forbidden from any contact with her, that same evening, she came to sleep at home. »

M^e Fabien Bourdon endeavored to defend his client: “This man was alone, when he met this woman, he was madly in love; he invested a lot in her, took care of her two children. »

The lawyer specifies that it was she who made the choice to leave him and that, if it was harmful for her, it was also harmful for him:

“This roller coaster episode caused him to take refuge in alcohol more than necessary. »

The prosecutor regretted that the defendant had placed much of the blame on his ex, and added care and a ban on contact, to the eight months of probationary suspension of the main sentence required.

For Me Bourdon, if hands could be extended, in this case care, to his client, it would be welcome: “He is ready to assume and show off. »

During the search of his home, investigators confiscated 17 rifles, some of which were inherited. He must say goodbye to them.

As for his hunting license, it was withdrawn.

The court pronounced six months in prison with suspended probation.

The fifty-year-old will have to undergo treatment.

He is prohibited from having a weapon and from contacting his ex-partner. In the absence of a medical certificate, he was acquitted of the harassment.
