The Head of State strongly criticized the indifference of the international community, the inaction of the Security Council and the flagrant non-compliance with the most fundamental humanitarian standards.

“Senegal is particularly concerned by the catastrophic situation in Gaza, under the indifferent gaze of the international community, in the face of the inertia of the Security Council and the disregard for the most basic humanitarian rules”, during the closed-door meeting of the heads of state and government of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting at a Summit in Banjul.

As newly elected president of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye assured his peers of his country’s continued anchoring within the organization (OCI), in a spirit of Islamic solidarity and fraternity.
