It was this week that the regional galas of the OSEntreprendre Challenge took place in Bas-Saint-Laurent. The first gala, that of the Volet Scolaire, took place virtually on April 30. The next day, May 1, at Alt Numérique Desjardins in Matane, the Business Creation Gala took place.

In total, the MRCs of Basques, Témiscouata and Rivière-du-Loup, as well as the municipality of Saint-André-de-Kamouraska, have ten winners, including five from the Business Component. Five winners from the region also won one of the special prizes awarded during the gala.

Note that for both components, nearly $37,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded. As for the component, 212 files were submitted from preschool to university.

“This 26th year was crowned with success. We notice a high quality of the files presented. Last year, Bas-Saint-Laurent was a recipient at the level. We hope to repeat everything next June at the National Gala in Quebec,” notes the regional manager of the OSEntreprendre Challenge and regional director of the École des entrepreneurs du Québec Campus Bas-Saint-Laurent, Véronique Mariève Gosselin.

The next stage of the regional winners of the School Component and the Business Creation Component will take place during the month of May with the national selection and finally end at the Grands Prix Desjardins Gala, on June 12 in Quebec.
