Among the 75,215 people registered for this edition of the OSEntreprendre Challenge, entrepreneurs from 17 regions of Quebec won the title of regional winner.
For the MRC Haute-Yamaska and Brome-Missiquoi, the regional gala was held on May 1 at the Entrepreneurship Headquarters (HQ) in Sherbrooke.
In the MRC Haute-Yamaska, two companies have done well.
In the business creation category, Médurge Cardiovision located in Saint-Alphonse de Granby is one of the winners. This specializes in paratransit, bariatric transport and evacuation as well as the transport of patients with cardiac monitors for cardiology services.
For the Success component, the Robin Bière craft brewery from Waterloo stood out at the regional level. This company has the particularity of refining its beers in barrels. The beer spends between three and 24 months in barrels then re-fermented for six to eight weeks in bottles.
“Participating in these galas (local and regional) represents a good opportunity for us to see the progress made since our first sales in 2019,” indicates co-owner Hugo Boucher, in an interview with The Voice of the East.
This microbrewery which also operates a seasonal restaurant produces around forty beers during the year.
In the Brome-Missisquoi region, designer Mélissa Pratte took to the podium a second time. Having had the opportunity to learn her trade in Italy, Ms. Pratte designs custom clothing such as wedding dresses and coats.
The identity of the national winners of the 2024 edition will be revealed on Wednesday, June 12 at the Palais Montcalm in Quebec.
