Since the start of the year, around fifteen tobacco shops have been targeted by burglaries in Vendée. In most cases, these are attempts. Evidence that the gendarmerie alert system and the strengthening of the protection of establishments are bearing fruit.

The spectacular car burglaries, committed on the night of March 25 to 26, in two tobacco shops in Aizenay and Palluau (Vendée), left their mark on professionals in the sector. Emmanuel Deleplanque, the boss of the Maison de la presse d’Aizenay, alerted by his security system, had even “attempted to prevent escape” burglars in the middle of the night.
