CRUELTY – A woman due to appear in court with prior admission of guilt this Monday in (Seine-et-) for abuse inflicted on her dog finally refused the procedure and will be judged on December 2

A woman was summoned before the Meaux judicial court (Seine-et-Marne) this Monday for an appearance with prior admission of guilt. The resident of Lognes initially admitted to having seriously burned her young dog in March 2024.

The defendant’s lawyer, however, ultimately refused this procedure, says The Marne. She will therefore be judged by the Meaux criminal court on December 2.

A complaint filed

“I think she will ultimately not recognize the facts,” confided Anne-Claire Chauvancy, member of Action Protection Animale, who took in Gordo, an English bulldog aged nine months at the time of the events. The association also filed a complaint for animal abuse. The dog, bought by the Francilienne’s boyfriend, had been burned on 40% of the surface of the body.

The defendant explained that after washing Gordo, she had used a hairdryer whose heat had hurt the dog, which had screamed.
