A soldier from Avrillé, near Angers (Maine-et-Loire), was sentenced Thursday May 2 to 24 months in prison, fourteen of which were suspended. As recounted West Francethe 28-year-old young man was found guilty of threatening to kill his partner, who was four months pregnant.

“Extremely worrying” facts
During the hearing, the prosecutor described these facts as“extremely worrying”. The victim, for her part, denounced the violent behavior of the soldier, both physically and psychologically. The young man is currently on sick leave for reasons of physical and mental health, notes the daily.
In addition to his prison sentence, he is prohibited from having contact with the victim and her children. He has an obligation of care and a ban on possessing a weapon for ten years.
