Cindy, with her husband near the scene of the collision, saw the whole scene: “We saw this scooter go by at high speed. When we followed him with our gaze, we saw this woman crossing with her daughter, about three years old, on a pedestrian crossing. The little girl dropped her blanket on the road, so the mother turned around to pick it up. That’s when the scooter arrived. The mother had time to push her daughter before being hit herself and thrown onto the hood of a car.”

While witnesses at the scene came to the aid of the victim and her daughter, the driver of the scooter, 22, left the accident.
