Having left Greece on April 27, the flame will arrive in this , May 8, at the port of (Bouches-du-Rhône). In total, it will pass through more than 400 municipalities before arriving in . his visit to (Bouches-du-Rhône) on May 12. The end of his tour of France will take place on July 26 for the opening ceremony in Paris. During the events, the Olympic Cauldron could be installed in the heart of the Tuileries gardens, in the capital.

In the meantime, the baton will pass the day of May 13 in Hérault on a route designed to highlight historical heritage, natural spaces and local know-how. It will cover nearly 24 km in total (23.48 km) with a departure from the viaduct at 8 a.m., a spectacular relay on one of the longest and highest viaducts in the world. Then a route through the town of Millau, a little over four kilometers in total.

What route hour by hour?

After Millau, the flame will travel through the urban area of ​​Sète and the metropolis of . It will leave the Sète semaphore at 11:30 a.m. and will travel 900 meters to climb to Mont Saint-Clair. Then meet at 1:30 p.m. on the Balaruc-les-Bains pontoon to reach the Roger Thérond esplanade: in total, 5.3 km with a boat crossing over the Etang de Thau.

The flame will arrive from 3:30 p.m. in Juvignac, Place du Soleil. At 4 p.m., it will pass through the Pierresvives district of Montpellier. Between 4:50 p.m. and 5:10 p.m., it will cross the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Comédie. The bearers of the flame

In addition to the route, among the hundred torchbearers, eight personalities from the world of sport will have the honor of carrying the Olympic and Paralympic flame Montpellier. Decathlete Kevin Mayer, rugby player Safi Ndiaye, wheelchair rugby player Brice Maurel, para-triathlete Luan Mazet-Vignaud, former rugby player Pascal Cances and educator Lucie Miramond will carry the Olympic flame on May 13 . Para-athlete Arnaud Assoumani and rhythmic gymnast Lili Ramonatxo will take turns over 2 km to carry the Paralympic flame on August 25. The cauldron will be lit three days later in Paris. As a reminder, Montpellier is the only city in France which will host the Olympic flame and the Paralympic flame.
