“Very nice discovery, this restaurant is a little gem.” There are many, like this Internet user, who have appreciated the Indian cuisine of Ashok Samrat, Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The restaurant thus receives a rating of 4.7/5 on Google. Regulars will have to wait before returning: the prefecture has decided to emergency closure following a health check carried out on Wednesday April 24, 2024 and made public in a decree dated Monday April 29.
“Dirty and soiled equipment”
The agents responsible for checking the hygiene of the establishment did not appreciate what they saw: lack of effective pest control, presence of harmful traces observed (rodent droppings), lack of respect for good hygiene practices , filthy and cluttered premises, lack of traceability of foodstuffs…
During the inspection, it was also noted that employees were using “dirty and soiled equipment”, which promotes “the contamination of food products by pathogenic germs”.
“The continuation of the operation of the establishment would pose a serious risk to public health,” indicates the order which thus justifies the immediate closure.
Reopening can only take place once the measures prescribed by the prefecture have been implemented.
