And financial support of 25 000 euros was recently brought by the Foundation to the association LADAPT from Évry-Courcouronnes. Specializing in supporting people with disabilitiesthe latter takes a new step in its commitment to professional inclusion. Indeed, thanks to this contribution, the LADAPT technical workshop, historically oriented towards craft professionsis preparing to modernize to meet the growing needs in digital professions.

A new space dedicated to digital professions

This workshop, which has existed for more than 15 years Évry-Courcouronnesin Essonne, until then offered training in the use of semi-professional equipment, allowing beneficiaries to train in craft professions. It also served as a place for skills assessments, retraining and discovery of professions. However, in-depth work carried out by LADAPT revealed the need to evolve this space towards digital technologiesa key sector for the professional future of the people it supports, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders (TSA).

The modernization project aims to create a space entirely dedicated to digital and electronicsresponding to the new aspirations of beneficiaries. This new workshop aims to initiate people with disabilities using digital toolswhile supporting them in their professional orientation towards emerging and sought-after professions.

Training in digital professions, a sector of the future and a driver of inclusion

The Orange Foundation, the first corporate foundation to have made autism a focus of sponsorship in 1991, continues its commitment to the inclusion of people with ASD. Pascale Paturledirector of health sponsorship – disability of the Foundation -, explained: “With our partners, we today want to demonstrate that with appropriate support, people with ASD can learn, throughout their lives, to study and work, have housing, have access to culture and leisure and enrich society with their differences“.

LADAPT and Orange Solidarité have been collaborating for more than three years on joint projects, including digital workshops on the Internet and its dangers, as well as introductory and advanced sessions on office automation tools.

Thierry Petrillirepresentative of Orange Solidarity, underlined: “Orange solidarity has been working with LADAPT Essonne for more than three years, mainly leading a digital workshop on the Internet and its dangers, but also offers, depending on the needs of the beneficiaries, workshops on digital initiation and improvement workshops on office tools“.

This project, carried out in partnership with LADAPT Essonne, is part of the Orange Foundation’s approach to allowing beneficiaries to train in digital professions, a sector of the future with inclusion.
