Thunderstorms caused heavy damage in Tremblay-en-France, in Seine-Saint-Denis, on the night of May 1 to 2.
The town of Tremblay-en-France (Seine-Saint-Denis) found itself under a deluge of water then under a rain of hailstones which whitened part of the town, on the night of May 1st to 2nd. The storm was sudden and of rare violence. Muddy water invaded a street in the town, under the incredulous eyes of residents. The hailstones fell for very long minutes.
For the residents, the night was short and distressing. We must evacuate the mud laden with hailstones, which has seeped into the courtyards and gardens. Several houses in the city are flooded. A lot of damage was noted. Agricultural fields were also ravaged. Clearing work has started to remove the mud. The town’s high school remained closed on the morning of Thursday, May 2. The town hopes to be able to reopen all roads in the afternoon.
