A new aesthetic, a redesigned brand: the Costières de Nîmes appellation is getting a makeover in 2024. Cyril Marès is the president of the AOC of Costières de Nîmes and the guest of the new eco de Bleu Lozère. He has also owned Mas des Bressades in Manduel since 1996.

The wine region represented by the Costières de Nîmes appellation is one of the oldest in the Rhône valley. Until now the AOC has worn a flash pink synonymous with celebration but ultimately not representative of all the vineyards that make up this brand. “The idea was to move towards a more unifying color of the different wines offered by the Costières AOC“, explains Cyril Marès. They therefore chose to go for a terracotta color.

A tribute to the climate of Costières

This change in visual identity is accompanied by a new catchphrase “freshness of sea breezes and strength of pebbles“. A quote as a tribute to the climate.”The Costières de Nîmes is a landscape with these old, leached, rich and deep soils but above all a climate, the effect of the sea with this cooling in the afternoon very beneficial to the wines“, explains Cyril Marès.

The president of the Costières de Nîmes AOC underlines that despite this change in look, the brand remains festive and will notably be present for the Pentecost fair.
