Virulent storms: 14 departments placed on orange vigilance

Between the end of the afternoon, this Wednesday, May 1, and next night, a wave of strong thunderstorms will sweep the regions from Burgundy to Hauts-de-France, warns Météo France. 14 departments are thus placed on orange alert (level 3 out of 4) for storms. All those in the Île-de-France region are affected.

Somme, Aisne, Oise, Yonne, Aube, Marne, Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Hauts-de-Seine, Val-d’ Oise, Seine-et-Marne, Essonne and Yvelines have been placed on orange alert by the meteorological agency. The north and east of the country as well as part of the Alps, Corsica and the Pyrénées-Orientales are on yellow alert for the same reason.

It is from the middle and end of the afternoon that the most violent storm cells will form. These storms “promise to be virulent with high intensities of precipitation, hail and gusts of up to 80 km/h. Electrical activity will also be marked”, warns Météo France.

What if this little toad derailed the Biosyl pellet factory project in Creuse?
