The tweet from the prefect of Hérault did not go unnoticed this Tuesday, April 30 on the social network X, because of the photos published. They were taken in a restaurant at the Polygone in Béziers (Hérault). The “Tokyo Béziers” located at 301 left bank shopping center was closed following an inspection by agents of the Departmental Directorate of Protection and Populations.
“Serious breaches of health and safety rules have been noted” specifies the prefect. A lack of maintenance of the premises was observed. The pictures speak for themselves.
Storage would be very insufficient, the controllers also noted the absence of a hand washing station to ensure hygiene of handling and a surface area of the cold room unsuitable for the activity.
Moreover pigeons could enter the smoking area. It is for all of these reasons that the prefect of Hérault took the decision to close the establishment as quickly as possible. This administrative closure will be lifted as soon as the restaurant meets current standards, specifies the State representative.
Furthermore, two months of closure were taken by the Prefect, against Night and Day grocery store in the Devéze district of Béziers for illicit sale of cigarettes.
