The deadlines for submitting lists for the legislative elections could be extended. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Interior after an exchange meeting with stakeholders in the electoral process this Saturday.
“I can note straight away that there is a consensus on the need to very slightly extend the duration for submitting lists. We are going to work on it because there is a technical impact on the printing of the bulletins. If you extend the duration of the deposits, you will release the final lists afterwards. You will only be able to start printing afterwards.

We have made the decision here to establish a permanent framework for consultation between the Ministry of the Interior and the political parties. It is not just on the eve of the elections that we need to discuss. We must have, according to a certain periodicity, a calendar and a precise agenda for discussion between the political class and the minister to deepen the dialogue.
