Christian Brunier leaves Industrial Services of Geneva (SIG) immediately. Accused of nepotism, he took early retirement.

Christian Brunier is leaving Geneva Industrial Services (SIG) with immediate effect. The company’s general director, embroiled in a case of alleged nepotism, announced on Tuesday that he would exercise his rights to early retirement.

“Christian Brunier is extremely affected by the attacks against him. He thought it best to leave as quickly as possible,” SIG President Robert Cramer told the media. Normally, Christian Brunier had planned to take early retirement on March 31, 2025.

Christian Brunier spent 45 years at SIG, including ten years as director.

Suspicions of nepotism have weighed on Christian Brunier since the Tribune de Genève and Léman Bleu television revealed that his two stepsons worked in SIG, as did the wife of one of them. Last Friday, it was RTS which informed the company’s hiring of a nephew of the general director. (jah/ats)
