A taste of what will open its doors on October 7, 2024. This is what the people who attended the signing of the agreement between the Cognacq-Jay Foundation and the city of Pontault-Combault were able to see (Seine-et-Marne), on Friday September 20, 2024.

The famous document sets in stone the upcoming opening of a health center in the town of 38,000 inhabitants. “This is the result of a dialogue that lasted nine months,” underlines Gilles Bord, the mayor of the city. It is a real pride for us to open such a structure with a partner like the Cognacq-Jay Foundation.”

The latter, located a few kilometers further in Férolles-Attilly, has taken over management of theForcilles hospitalin the course of the 2010s. “Thanks to this agreement, we will be able to make some of our practitioners available to expand the healthcare offering in the city,” comments for his part, Jean-Luc Fidel, the general director of the foundation.

Six cabinets

Thus, general practitioners and physiotherapists will set up in the first weeks following the opening to the public of the health center on October 7, based next to the Apollo cinema. “In all, six offices have been set up in the premises which until now housed the city’s environmental services,” confirms the city’s first councilor. This new offer must respond to a lack of health professionals in the municipality and the aging of practitioners currently in office.

Another asset generated by this partnership, this advanced branch of the Forcilles hospital will make it possible to create bridges with the establishment based in Férolles-Attilly. “Depending on the cases observed in Pontault-Combault, our practitioners will be able to send patients to specialists in Forcilles,” adds Sandrine Marlièrethe director of the hospital. But before you can take advantage of this new medical space located in sector 1, understand without exceeding fees, you will have to wait a few more days. In fact, the premises will be inaugurated on Saturday October 5 before entering into service on October 7.
