The terrible negative series of results (thirteen consecutive defeats between May 23, 2023 and April 12) seems definitively behind the Swiss team. The white cross selection continued its recovery this Saturday, dominating Latvia in Kloten (4-0). Less than 24 hours after disposed of the same opponent in similar proportions, in Lausanne.

Patrick Fischer’s players opened the scoring in the first third, through Romain Loeffel (9th). They then made the break thanks to Dario Simion (34th). Fabrice Herzog, his teammate in Zug, widened the gap (45th) then Tino Kessler, the Biel striker, sealed the victory in the final seconds (60th).

Time for the Czech Hockey Games

Switzerland thus won for the fourth consecutive time. A good omen two weeks before its entry into the World Championship, where it will successively face Norway (May 10), Austria (May 12), Czechia (May 13), Great Britain (May 15) , Denmark (May 18), Canada (May 19) and Finland (May 21).

The Helvetians will continue their preparation with the Czech Hockey Games, where they will meet Sweden (May 2), Finland (May 4) and the Czech Republic (May 5).
