Four table tennis tables have been installed outside the Ernest-Vila sports complex. With free access, the installation quickly gained popularity. Activities are organized there occasionally by the CPA until September.
It’s difficult to miss the installation from rue du 8-Mai. A few weeks ago, four outdoor table tennis tables sprung up next to the Ernest-Vila sports complex, a stone’s throw from the pedestrian bridge that spans the Gers.

Equipment which was created following the desire of the Ministry of Sports, the French Table Tennis Federation (FFTT) and the CPA “to make table tennis accessible to everyone”, indicates Jean-Claude Turchetti, president of the Auscitain club. A bet seems to have already been fulfilled.
Free entertainment
The installation did not take long to find its audience, welcoming budding table tennis players from the Gers of all ages on a daily basis, who come to hit the ball with friends or family.
They are also invited to come and meet the CPA supervisors. To do this, a QR code is stuck on each table. It indicates the dates and times of the events – free – offered by the Auch club between April and September.
Objective for the Auscitain club: to encourage vocations and welcome, why not, new licensees at the start of the school year in September.
