The delegation from the Algerian USMA club arrived this Friday, April 26, at Oujda-Angad airport around 5 p.m., aboard a special plane from Algiers. The Algerians must face the Berkane Sports Renaissance on Sunday at the city’s municipal stadium in the semi-final second leg of the CAF Cup.
The delegation from the Algiers Medina Sports Union arrived this Friday, April 26, at Oujda-Angad airport around 5 p.m. aboard an EgyptAir flight authorized by the general directorate of civil aviation and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, from Algiers.
Welcomed by Hakim Ben Abdallah, president of the Berkane Sports Renaissance, the Algerian team will head directly to its place of residence, the “Be Live Collection” hotel, located in Saïdia, approximately 32 kilometers from Berkane.
As a reminder, USMA faces RS Berkane on Sunday, April 28 at the Berkane Municipal Stadium from 8 p.m., in the semi-final return of the CAF Cup.
The Algerians lost the first leg on the green carpet (3-0), after the unfortunate events that the Berkanis experienced in Algeria.
As soon as they arrived at Algiers airport, they had their jerseys, usual and approved by CAF, confiscated because of the integral map of Morocco, with its Sahara. A series of intimidations and attacks followed, before the first leg was canceled.
