More than 200 classic cars and motorcycles expected in Laval this Sunday

The 8e National Vintage Vehicle Day will be held throughout France this Sunday, April 28, 2024. This year, it is the turn of the Mayenne Vintage Vehicle Amateurs (Amva) to organize it.

“There are several classic vehicle clubs in Mayenne and every year, we manage to prepare for this day”specifies Éric Paris, president of the association “ for two years “. The meeting is set at the Laval fairground (Mayenne).

200 vehicles expected

“We are around a hundred members of Amva, from Mayenne and neighboring departments. » All owners of old vehicles “are welcome, whether they are members of the association or not. »

To be labeled “collection”, the vehicle must “be over 30” . 200 models are expected this Sunday, especially “90% cars. A space will be dedicated to motorcycles. »

Exhibition and walk

In the morning, the cars will be displayed statically, with the owners who will be able to respond and share their passion with visitors. The afternoon, “we will go for a walk around Laval”, concludes Éric Paris, who specifies “that around thirty volunteers will be mobilized for the organization”.
