Sûreté du Québec agent Camille Savoie confirms that the difficult weather conditions on the North Shore are mobilizing patrol police officers this Wednesday evening. “Our police officers are on site, but it’s difficult to say when traffic will resume,” she told us.
Route 138 has been closed since 7:18 p.m. in both directions at km 804 in Franquelin and blocked at km 790. The website of the Ministry of Transport, Quebec 511 also lists three closures of the 389 between Baie-Comeau and Fermont.
Route 138 is snow-covered from Baie-Comeau to Godbout, then clear and dry with good visibility until Sept-Îles.
