Former municipal councilor under the PLR ​​flag and current president of the UDC in the City of Geneva, Alexandre Chevalier is now targeting the Palais Eynard. He announced this Wednesday in Le PoinG his candidacy for the municipal elections. “I really want to get involved in recovering this city, I believe that there is a reconquest to be done,” he declared.

Alexandre Chevalier was a municipal councilor between 2006 and 2012. During his mandate, he was head of the liberal municipal group from June 2008 to June 2011. After his time with the PLR, he successively joined the Vert’liberaux, the PBD, the Operation Libero, the PDC, but also The Republicans in Switzerland. Now a member of the UDC, he was a candidate for the Geneva Grand Council then for the National Council during the 2023 elections.

He is currently the only UDC to target the Administrative Council. The City of Geneva section will designate its ticket on June 13. In 2020, the UDC launched Christo Ivanov and Pascal Altenbach in the race for the Administrative Council. They came in 13th and 14th respectively.
