Basket Landes-Tarbes (65-54): everyone has their own period

In their overheated room, the Landaises managed to extinguish the flame of the young Tarbaises. They let the storm pass before taking control of the match in the second period. They will play a new final, after winning the first title in their history in 2021. It will be against Villeneuve-d’Ascq, the N°1 of the regular season who crushed Montpellier with a 64-point difference over the two matches!

After a balanced first period (14-14), the Violettes, particularly sparkling and set on fire by the essential Carla Leite (17 points), made the break, having a 10-length lead at the break (24-34) , and therefore 15 points with the 5 collected in the first leg.

In this spectacular match, the experience of the Landaises counted a lot in reversing the trend in a meeting which seemed to escape them. They were also able to count on the efficiency of Alexis Peterson (17 points), but also on Angela Salvadores (10 points) who made the difference at the end by scoring decisive baskets.

For the final, the Landaises will host Villeneuve d’Ascq, this Saturday, May 11 (8:45 p.m.), before going to play in the North, on Friday, May 17 (8:45 p.m.). The eventual Belle will compete against the Northerners on Sunday May 19 (3:15 p.m.).
