A man dies on his bike in Oise, what we know about this tragedy

In circumstances that remain uncleara 30-year-old man lost his life in an electric bicycle accident on the night of Tuesday 17 to Wednesday 18 September, in Lacroix-Saint-Ouen (Oise), not far from Compiègne.

He was riding his bicycle Forest Avenuea small unlit road located on the outskirts of the town, around 2 a.m.

Did the thirty-year-old have a bad fall? Or was he hit by a car?

The preferred accidental track

Investigations were carried out by the gendarmes of the Compiègne companyto try to understand what happened that evening.

An autopsy was also conducted. This tends to confirm that the victim died of head trauma during an accidental fall.

The intervention of a third party is therefore ruled out for the time being. “The investigations that have been carried out by the national gendarmerie at this stage, and subject to elements currently being verified, tend to confirm an accidental theory,” specifies Guillaume Dupont, public prosecutor, withOise News.
