She has not given any sign of life since September 10. An appeal for witnesses was launched by the police on Tuesday, September 17, following the disappearance of Beninese athlete Odile Ahouanwanou, a 33-year-old heptathlon specialist, near (Seine-Maritime).

“Odile has been missing since September 10 from Sotteville-Lès-Rouen. She dropped her child off at the childminder’s in the morning and did not come back to pick him up,” the Seine-Maritime police reported on X, specifying that her last location was Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) and that the thirty-year-old travels in a Volkswagen Polo.

Participation in the London and Tokyo Olympic Games

This 33-year-old athlete, measuring 1.78 m, licensed at Stade Sottevillais, is a heptathlon specialist. At the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Qatar, she finished in 8th position.

She also competed in the London and Tokyo Olympics.
