This is one of the conclusions reached by a map from the Observatoire des territoires. The organization displays the average travel time between home and work by gender. This data is modeled by car, during peak hours, even if people use another means of transport. The time taken is calculated “from town hall to town hall”. Thus, in Yvelines, women take a little less time to get to their place of work: their journey takes a little over 24 minutes, compared to almost 29 minutes for male employees.
