Attitude Manche is delighted to announce the official launch of the 2024 festival season. From renowned events to more intimate gatherings, the variety of artistic expressions in the region announces a colorful season. With the common objective of celebrating celebration, music and creativity in the region, 20 festivals in La Manche have joined forces to offer festival-goers “ the Gold Pass » !

La Manche: a cultural destination all year round

Convinced of the attractiveness of its events, Attitude Manche initiated in 2023 the establishment of a network of festivals in the region so that they can collectively help each other and express their vision of culture in rural areas.

Attached to their territory, the festivals are keen to reveal the dynamics of the department together. This network helps to highlight the family spirit that reigns in the events and that the actors wish to perpetuate. Through these festivals and initiatives, the Manche department reaffirms its commitment to culture in rural areas, inviting everyone to discover and celebrate its artistic and cultural wealth.

The Manche festivals manifesto, witness to a collective commitment to culture

The festivals wanted to inaugurate this network and demonstrate their unity in a strong way by writing a manifesto.

This symbolic support states their commitments and lists the common values that they wish to convey such as experimentation, mutual support, preservation of the living environment and the desire to reinvent themselves.

The Manche festivals: a significant economic and social impact

The Channel festivals are supported by local associations, they offer an authentic and friendly cultural experience all year round, while supporting the local economy and the social fabric. The example of the Papillons de nuit Festival perfectly illustrates this dynamic, with economic benefits of 9 million euros, 75% of which for the Manche region.

Additionally, many of these festivals are volunteer-based, providing locals with the opportunity to become actively involved in cultural life. They are undeniably strong unifying factors in the region.

La Manche is also the opportunity to experience unique places: on an island at the Traversées Tatihou festival, near Hambye Abbey for the Dox art festival or even on the beach at Montmartin-sur-Mer at the Heating in the Dark festival with the greatest respect for the place.

These events are not only vectors of culture, but also of attractiveness for future residents, reinforcing the strengths of the quality and living environment of Manche.
