Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Black notebook: Patrice Rabiller has left us
Descriptive text here

On this beautiful sunny Spring weekend, bad news spread like wildfire in the country house. Patrice Rabiller, this colossus, this tough guy, this force of nature left us suddenly at the age of 53. “Patoune” or “la Quiche”, he was well known and above all respected by the entire rugby family.

A pillar of duty, he first completed his classes at Villeneuve 13 in the youth categories. Then, he joined the CAV before participating in the rebirth of the RCV just 20 years ago. “When you were 18 and playing as seniors, it was reassuring to play with a real dad on the pitch who impressed us with his character and his strong build. He constantly protected us” remembers a former player of the RCV. But if he was sometimes hot and sanguine on a lawn, if he loved fighting and getting his face in the fray, “Patoune” exuded kindness, generosity and benevolence in everyday life. Today, it is therefore the world of Ovalie which mourns a player, a leader but above all a friend. And let’s be sure that from the top of his little cloud, he will carefully follow the end of the season of the “blood and gold” and will certainly send them positive waves for the accession to Federal 2.

La Dépêche presents its most sincere condolences to his loved ones and all his friends. His funeral will be celebrated this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Bias church.
