The municipal council of the commune of Quinéville (Manche) gathered around Mayor René Hardy on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at the town hall to celebrate the retirement of Florence Carrer, campsite manager.

When I arrived at the town hall in March 2014 with François Renet (mayor), we were confronted with the disastrous management of the municipal campsite.

The council at the time appealed to Florence to take over complete management of the campsite as managerwhich she accepted.

When the users of the campsite as well as the residents learned of Florence’s retirement. They wanted and organized a moment to celebrate the departure of the manager and the thank to have been has listening to them and meet their needs.

As Mayor René Hardy announced during the greeting ceremony in January 2024, the campsite is under rental management.

“The council made the choice for multiple reasons to entrust the campsite (which remains municipal) to a private company under rental management in exchange for an annual fee paid to the municipality, explained the mayor and concluded. We wish you a wonderful and retirement with your children and grandchildren.”

Before sharing a glass of friendship and toasting Florence while wishing her a good retirement, the town offered her a garnished basket and a bottle of wine for Jean-Noël.
