The Indre-et-Loire prefecture has issued an order to close the butcher’s shop located at 4, rue des écoles in Saint-Paterne-Racan. She justifies this by breaches of hygiene rules, after an inspection by agents of the Departmental Directorate for Population Protection.
Traces of rodent passage
The DDPP services note non-compliance with hygiene rules, likely to present a risk to the health of consumers: “presence of traces of passage of rodents and pests; lack of formalized procedures for food storage; lack of training in food hygiene; surfaces and equipment not suitable for production.”
Reopening can only take place following a new verification by DDPP inspectors, “in order to control the implementation of all corrective measures imposed following this control”underlines the Prefecture of Indre-et-Loire.
