CE Châteauroux and EC Indre monopolize the podiums

The regional championships in epee and foil took place this weekend in Orléans and Salbris respectively. On the CEC side, fencing master Jean-Daniel Dupuis bet on the sword. Rightly so, since the club achieved nine podiums in the nine categories in which it was represented.

The palms go to the women’s epee team and to Fabienne Clément individually who win the two regional titles. The senior women’s team took second place. Both teams qualify for the French championship.

Two other silver medals and four bronze medals complete the epee table. The senior men’s team, beaten in the semi-final by Orléans, faced Saint-Cyr-sur- again and also qualified for . Exceptional fact of these two days: all the CEC teams got on the podium.

Meanwhile, in Salbris, Léo Annibaldi won a silver medal in U11 and Louisianne Turquois consolidated her place in the U15 women’s team which will represent the region at the French championship at the beginning of June.

The Fencing Club also stands out

Back to Orléans, this time for the Indre Fencing Club. Claire Oger won in V1, ahead of Stéphanie Coutant 3. Karine Chalumeau Berberian also finished 3e in V3. By teams, the ECI ranks second.

In foil in Salbris, Lucie Chalumeau Berberian wins in M9, Mathyas Cuaz Rodrigues finishes 3e in M11. Sophie Desmoulières ranks 2e in V1, Gaëlle Dobignard won in V2, Gérald Prévot finished in V3. By senior team, Amaury Garnier, Mikael Prince and Gérald Prévot are 3e.
