Celebrate history, present and future.
The movie theater Les Toiles, located on Place François-Truffaut in Saint-Gratien (Val-d’Oise), is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
A place of cultural life where many directors came to present their works, where young and old were able to discover films carefully chosen by the ten employees of the movie theater.
Culture
In terms of culture, we try to be at the top. When Séverine (Rocaboy, director of Les Toiles) offered us a weekend of celebrations, we didn’t hesitate.
The responsible des Toiles transcribes this amour that the inhabitants of the Montmorency Valley carry to their movie theater.
There is a real visible attachment. We choose our films that we broadcast. These are the ones we appreciate, not necessarily the ones we talk about the most or are the most highlighted.
A specificity which allows the movie theater to highlight highly talented directors and actors, sometimes not yet at the peak of their careers.
“We welcomed Justine Tiret well before she obtained her Palme d’Or,” rejoices the director.
A identify strong which pushes the team of ten people to “always keep in mind that the connection with the spectator is joyful and friendly”, adds Séverine Rocaboy.
