They can choose the best. Since October 5, 2024, members of the Blaise-Cendrars media library in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine () have been invited to read and vote for the 2nd readers’ prize from a selection of five pounds.

The objective is to promote first-time novelists. We often talk about the same authors who monopolize the podiums. While we realize that there are magnificent first novels, but which are a bit overlooked.

The works in competition are: Good people by Florence Chataignier, The radiator by Gonzague Pillon, Children of the sea de Virginia Tangvald, After that Eliot Ruffel, First dance by Amélie Serberg.

Motivated people have until April 26 to read the novels, fill out a form and place it in the media library ballot box.

Will the winner come?

For the first edition, 25 people took part in the vote. They named the author Mathieu Persan like the winner for his work Il nothing should ever happen to me again.

The latter came to collect his prize in October. At the same time, he revealed the list of works in competition for this year 2025.

“As far as possible, we try to bring the winner at the media library to give him his prize,” explains Gwenaelle Kerhoas.
