Seven accused, all arrested on January 7, 2025, and sentences of up to 3 years in prison: the police in the Élancourt district, in Yvelines, have just dismantled a very organized network of cannabis traffickers after several months of investigation.

It all started in September 2024, with the discovery by the staff of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of the Élancourt police station of a point de deal in the heart of the Prés district, in Montigny-le-Bretonneux.

Three regular sellers

The investigations and surveillance operations subsequently carried out by the narcotics brigade will make it possible to identify three regular sellers working for the organization, but also and above all the two principalsone of whom will be incarcerated in November at the Bois-d'Arcy remand center after his conviction in a separate case.

Behind barsit remains active. “His girlfriend received instructions from him to manage his Snapchat account and recover money,” confides a source close to the investigation. Through him, he could continue to communicate with certain trafficking protagonists. »

A committed “nanny”

Son accomplice take advantage of this to reorganize the network and its mode of operation. “The narcotics were until now kept at the home of one of the sellers residing near the point of the deal,” explains our source. He recruited a nanny from outside trafficking. »

Thanks to “the spinning mills carried out by the surveillance and intervention group of the Élancourt police”, this “nanny” will quickly be identified and her home located. She is 31 years old and lives in Montigny-le-Bretonneux.

The entire team arrested on the same day

The police have enough evidence to put an end to this scheme. On January 7, 2025, six people were arrested almost simultaneously at their homes (in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Versailles and Guyancourt) by the Élancourt police officers “with the support and assistance of other units”.

The traffic bridgehead was then preparing to go to Thailand. His accomplice in detention is also taken from his cell and placed with all the others in police custody.

The searches led to the discovery of 470 grams of cannabis resin and €7,360 in cash. “A vehicle and the sum of €6,555 in a bank account of one of the traffickers were also seized under the criminal assets», informs our source.

Reprieve for the “nanny” and the girlfriend of one of the principals

The investigation established that the deal point in the Prés district “generated between 300 and 450 € per day“. “The cannabis resin was kept in tight flow, with the manager only storing a maximum of 500 grams at the nanny’s home,” specifies our contact.

In police custody, the defendants admitted “largely the facts”. The “nanny” and the girlfriend (20 years old) of the incarcerated boss will be the first to decide on their fate. As part of an express procedure on prior admission of guilt they received respectively a suspended sentence of one and a half years (including nine months at home under electronic surveillance) and a one-year suspended sentence.

3 years and 30 months for the two “bosses” of the network

The other five members of the network, aged 19 to 25were referred on January 10, 2025. They were tried immediately in court at the Versailles court. The order giver, already imprisoned, was sentenced to 3 years, his accomplice to 30 months (including 19 months with reinforced probationary suspension).

THE three sellerswill have to serve, for their part, from 18 months to 2 years (part of which is accompanied by a reinforced probationary period under the regime of semi-liberty for two of them, under electronic surveillance for the last).
