Golden View, gourmet restaurant and art gallery

Owned by Tommaso Grasso, Golden View offers a premium food and wine experience in Florence. The young chef Andrea Condito has been leading the brigade for 3 years, the cellar is exceptional, the setting astonishing.

Spacious, full of light during the day, thanks to the bay windows offering fascinating view on the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the Arno, the Golden View also evokes an art gallery. Indeed, a great art lover, Tommaso Graso willingly exhibits, permanently or ephemerally, the works of artists he likes to promote.

As soon as they cross the threshold, a gentle atmosphere of comfort and serenity accompanies customers, accentuated by the friendly and smiling welcome from the room team.

In the kitchen, the young chef Andrea CANDITO originally from Campania, from a family of restaurateurs, and his brigade of nearly 10 people, relayed in the room by a team of x people. Meal after meal, he achieves the feat of designing and serving refined dishes, precisely balanced between tradition and modernity, for more than 100 people.

Two options: tasting menu or à la carte. “From the sea” and “From the land” menus, in 5 courses and small pastries at €120 and “From the garden” at €95. Wine pairings are suggested to complete the experience. A la carte, seafood products (caviar, raw fish, raw or cooked shellfish, seafood platters, etc.), assortments of cheeses, cold meats, a nice handful of starters and first courses, and around ten main courses main dishes from the sea, the land, vegetarians: Rabbit, chestnut, escarole and vin santo at €23, Spaghettino, sea urchin, garlic, lemon leaves and sorrel at €28, Pigeon, sangiovese, figs and black cabbage at €43…

For a more intimate experience, suite upstairs with terrace overlooking the river, can be privatized for a meal (and overnight stay) alone or with a privileged group.

High-end pastry

The pastries deserve a special mention, or more precisely the talent of the pastry chef Caterina Saraò must be underlined. The pastries are subtle in textures and flavors, with great aesthetic delicacy. For those with a sweet tooth, combining several of these sweets is possible as the delicacy of these delicacies is so great.

An exceptional wine cellar

The cellar is also a subject in its own right, especially since the Golden View offers a special tasting experience: 5 wines, 50 minutes, in the cellar which houses the labels, near the restaurant. Directed and managed by sommelier Paolo Miano, it is in charge of no less than around 8,000 bottles, including many prestigious references: great vintages of Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri, Barbaresco, Barolo…
